What is polymer clay?
Polymer clay is a plastic man-made modelling material. It is a type of clay based on a synthetic polymer polyvinyl chloride. Polymer clay is light weight, somewhat flexible and very durable after curing.
Polymer clay is available in numerous colors that can be mixed together to form new colours with endless design possibilities. Jewelry care:
Polymer clay jewelry , properly handled and cared for, will last a lifetime and beyond.
- I have done everything I knew to create a long-lasting product using specialized tools and high quality materials. Please take care not to pull and tug your jewelry excessively.
- Protect metal parts from rust by not leaving your jewelry in a damp environment. If your jewelry gets wet, dry it off as soon as possible. Avoid bathing while wearing your jewelry. Even if polymer clay can withstand prolonged contact with water, other parts of an item might not, i.e.. jewelry findings and cords etc.
- If cleaning is necessary, use lukevarm water with a drop of ordinary liquid dishwashing soap and a soft brush. Or simply wipe down the item with a damp cloth
- Out of hygiene concerns and your health do not share your earrings with others, and disinfect them regularly. This is also the reason why I cannot take returns on earrings- because of your safety.
- Do not leave your jewelry near a heat source and do not leave it on direct sunlight for a long time.
- Perfume, deodorant and hairspray should be applyed and allowed to settle before polymer clay jewelry is worn.
- Please do not wear your jewelry when working with household cleaners or chemicals.
- Keep jewelry out of reach of small children and pets as your jewelry is made of many small parts that may present a hazard.
- Please keep your jewelry, wrapped in a soft material to avoid scratches and damage from other jewelry that may be stored with it.
- If you use your purchased piece reasonably and following this guidelines and there still is some demage or brake I will be happy to fix it for you.
